Qatargas has awarded contractor Saipem a contract valued at approximately $1 billion for offshore construction works under a large-scale gas field development project in Qatar.
The scope of work includes the engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning of offshore pipeline systems and related auxiliary structures.
This is another positive signal for the region's oil and gas equipment and materials supply chain — a sector in which NIMEX is active, supplying petrochemical refineries in Vietnam.
